Venue Operations Officer
Duties of Venue Operations Officer:
1) To be responsible for the daily operation of the Civic Centre
2) To assist in the procurement of services and goods for the venue
3) To be the subject officer of programmes in the Civic Centre, and to liaise with hirers,
front-of-house team, backstage team as well as other related parties on the operational,
logistical, technical and publicity arrangements for the staging of programmes
4) To act as duty manager in the Civic Centre and ensure smooth running of all functions
held in the venue, as well as to enforce all regulations and house rules
5) To manage and supervise the contracts of front-of-house customers and logistics services
6) To collate display of digital posters and videos at the venue
7) To handle enquiries and complaints from the public and hirers
8) To attend emergency and ad-hoc duties
9) To provide administrative support to the office
10) To work in other venues, including but not limited to Sha Tin Town Hall and North District
Town Hall, as and when required
Qualification:
1) A permanent resident of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and be lawfully employable in Hong Kong
2) Holder(s) of Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline, preferably Arts Administration
3) Have at least Two years of post-qualification full-time working experience, of which
having at least One year of post-qualification full-time working experience in the field of
performing arts/ arts administration, cultural event management, cultural/ performance venues
management and operations
4) Have not less than One year of working experience in government departments and
organisations (preferred)
5) Have not less than One year of working experience in staff supervision (preferred)
6) Have good understanding on performing arts and administration work
7) Good communication and interpersonal skills, and mature in personality
8) Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
9) Physically fit to perform indoor and outdoor duties at the Venues
10) Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing
Contract Period: Mid- Apr 2025 (1-year contract)
Working Location: Tai Po
Working Hour: Normally required to work for 9 hours between 0900 to 2400 on Mondays to
Sundays and Statutory Holidays
Salary: $1200/day
